777 Partners ‘on track’ to complete Everton takeover before end of 2023
Sources close to 777 Partners say they are hoping to complete their takeover of Everton by the end of the year, according to BBC Sport.
The website reported on Thursday (9 November) that the American investment company are “on track” to complete its acquisition of Farhad Moshiri’s 94.1 per cent stake in the Goodison Park-based side, despite suggestions of delays.
777 are understood to have submitted all the required paperwork to the relevant authorities, including the Financial Conduct Authority, the Premier League and the FA, with all parties required to give the deal the green light to progress.

The Premier League will be the party with the “final say” should the takeover complete the owner’s and director’s test, but 777 Partners are confident the deal is on track to be completed before the turn of the year.
Progress being made
After weeks and months of speculation, it looks as though Everton may finally be getting the takeover that many supporters have been pining for to end the dreary Farhad Moshiri era at Goodison Park as 777 Partners’ deal seems to be moving in the right direction.
While there are still hurdles to be jumped and the possibility that the American firm may not be able to clear those all-important obstacles does remain, 777 are increasingly confident that they will be the ones in charge on Merseyde by the turn of the year.

That could be a huge boost for Sean Dyche and his side as their new owners may provide the Toffees boss with a bit more money to spend during the January transfer window as he looks to add the final pieces of quality to his team to help Everton climb the table away from the relegation zone.
Dyche has begun to get a tune out of the players already at his disposal in recent weeks and there is little doubt that the current Everton side is much better than the one he inherited, but with the right additions, the Toffees could once again be a mid-table outfit.
But all that optimism stems from whether or not 777 Partners do see their takeover approved as they predict by the turn of the new year. Everton supporters will have to hope that their confidence has not been misplaced.
