Robbie Savage predicts result of Crystal Palace v Everton Premier League clash

Pundit Robbie Savage has predicted the result of the Premier League meeting between Crystal Palace and Everton.

The Eagles welcome the Toffees to Selhurst Park on Saturday, with the hosts sitting 11th in the table and the visitors sitting in 16th.

Roy Hodgson’s outfit have four victories from their 11 league games so far, with Sean Dyche’s side winning three of their 11 matches.

Predicting Crystal Palace to beat Everton 2-1, Savage told TEAMtalk: “That was a good win for Crystal Palace against Burnley, 2-0 and keeping a clean sheet.

“Palace have kept more clean sheets in the Premier League than any other side. That’s five. Can they keep a clean sheet against Everton? I’m not so sure they will. But at Selhurst Park, the momentum, the crowd behind them, I’m going to go with a Palace win.”

Tough test

Everton may trail their upcoming opponents in the current standings, but they certainly have some momentum behind them after a run of positive results.

The Toffees go into the clash at Selhurst Park after a 1-1 draw with a very talented and dangerous Brighton side, having led the way for the majority of that match at Goodison Park.

That point followed a fine 3-0 victory against Sean Dyche’s former side Burnley in the League Cup round of 16, which came after a superb 1-0 league win away to West Ham.

The visitors do, however, come up against a very tricky Palace outfit who have also just beaten Burnley, this time a 2-0 win in the league.

The three points and clean sheet at Turf Moor should give them plenty of confidence to cause the Toffees problems from the first whistle in front of their boisterous home supporters, who will no doubt be on their usual top form.

In other Everton news, a former Toffees chief has shared a Dyche “stability” prediction at the Goodison Park club.
