BBC pundit gobsmacked by what happened in Everton clash v Crystal Palace: ‘Oh My Goodness’
Rachel Brown-Finnis was left gobsmacked live on air after Idrissa Gueye scored the winning goal for Everton against Crystal Palace on Saturday (11 November).
Speaking on the BBC’s Final Score on Saturday (04:48pm), the pundit said “what a difference a few games has made” when the Senegalese international put the Toffees 3-2 ahead on 86 minutes at Selhurst Park.
She added that there have been some “tough times” for the Blues over the past couple of years, with the travelling fans rewarded for sticking by their team during that time.

“Oh my goodness, what a difference a few games has made,” said Brown-Finnis. “Talking the last couple of games, there’s been some positivity about Everton fans around the city.
“I’m talking a couple of years of doldrums of tough times of hardship. Those fans that are there, travelling to Crystal Palace, if this game finishes as it is, have been rewarded for standing by their team.”
Deserved
There is no doubt that the Everton fans certainly deserve to see their side pick up the positive results that they’ve had lately on the back of the past couple of years.
The Toffees have narrowly avoided relegation at the end of the season on two occasions during that period, but as long as they’re not handed a points deduction, that shouldn’t be the case this time around.
The victory against Palace once again proved that they are moving in the right direction under Sean Dyche and that there is an awful lot of resilience in his side.

The three points have opened up an eight-point gap from the sides in the relegation zone and they can now start looking up the table at the sides above them.
After the dark times, there now seems to be plenty of positivity around the club and they will hoping to keep moving forward over the next few weeks.
In other Everton news, a BBC pundit has shared an “intriguing” admission amid Dyche’s style of play.
