Dele Alli shares six-word fitness update as Everton star jets out to the Middle East

Dele Alli has shared a six-word fitness update to his Instagram account after the Everton star appears to have jetted out to Dubai.

The 27-year-old is yet to make an appearance for the Toffees under the management of Sean Dyche, having been sidelined with an injury sustained during his time on loan with Besiktas last season, where he scored three times in 15 appearances.

Dyche had revealed before Everton’s clash with Brighton earlier in November that Dele was back in training with the first team, but still had “a way to go” before he could be considered for selection. It appears as though the midfielder has stepped up his recovery with some warm-weather training in Dubai during the international break.

Sharing a post to his Instagram account (15 November) he captioned the collection of photos in the Middle East: “It’s not over until I win.”

On the way to recovery

It has been well-documented just how difficult the last few years have been for Dele and it is safe to say that nearly everybody involved in English football is hoping that the 27-year-old can rediscover the form that made him such a talent at Tottenham.

The Everton man’s latest Instagram post suggests that he is serious about finding that form and making a genuine return to action with the Toffees, with Dele not prepared to give up on his footballing career until it begins to work for him.

Dyche’s side have rediscovered their winning formula in recent weeks and the Blues look as though they could be ready to climb up the Premier League table. Should they receive the boost of a returning Dele to their ranks for the second half of the campaign, it could provide an extra creative spark to the Toffees’ side.

Everton

It hasn’t been plain sailing for the midfielder since he arrived at Goodison Park in 2022 as he is yet to find the net in his first 13 appearances in a blue shirt. But hopefully, his latest crack at the Premier League will finally see him reach the levels he did in a Spurs shirt.

Dyche has been full of praise for the England international and even revealed the impact he has had in an off-the-field role in recent weeks [Daily Mail, 9 November]. It seems incredibly clear that Dele is serious about getting it right this time.
