Alan Brazil and Gabby Agbonlahor predict Everton v Manchester United

TalkSPORT duo Alan Brazil and Gabby Agbonlahor have predicted Everton to cause problems for Manchester United when the teams clash on Sunday 26 November.

Brazil likened this Everton side to a wounded animal after they were handed a 10-point deduction last week, while Agbonlahor claimed they would be in with a chance regardless of the week’s events.

The pair then referenced Bruno Fernandes’ warning to his teammates that the clash at Goodison Park would prove a difficult one after what happened [Manchester Evening News, 21 November].

The pair were discussing the game live on talkSPORT [22 November] when Brazil shared: “Beware of the wounded animal. Everton v Man United. Bruno [Fernandes] this morning in the papers has already said be careful, this is not going to be easy.”

Agbonlahor then made his prediction: “I think even if this hadn’t happened, Everton at home to Manchester United is always a tough game. You know they’re always at it aren’t they against the big clubs?

“I can see Everton turning them over.”

The atmosphere will be electric

When the fans are at it, Goodison Park can be one of the most difficult stadiums in the country for an away team to turn up and take all three points. The tightly packed stands can suffocate visiting teams, and Manchester United could be the victims come Sunday.

Brazil’s assessment that Everton will be like a wounded animal could be bang on, with the ‘us against them’ mentality adopted by fans after the events of the past week building by the day in anticipation of that first fixture at Goodison.

Everton

This Manchester United side have lost the reputation of the old days, but a victory against them will always be a statement, and they provide the perfect opportunity for the Toffees to make their way towards earning their points back.

A win could take Everton out of the relegation zone already despite the hefty points deduction if other results also go their way, and that would be some statement from Sean Dyche and his side.
