Ben Foster makes ‘massive’ Everton prediction ahead of Manchester United clash

Ben Foster has predicted Everton to earn a draw against Manchester United on 26 November, after they have picked up some massive results of late.

The former United goalkeeper claimed Goodison Park is always a tough place for away teams to visit and suggested this one could be a lively affair.

Foster went on to insist that Everton are on the up, despite the ten-point deduction given for a breach of financial rules, something which will help them hold the Red Devils to a draw.

Foster was speaking on the That’s Football YouTube channel where he gave his weekend predictions, saying; “I’m going to go with a draw.

“Everton are on the up, they’ve picked up some massive results lately, tough place to go. This is always a decent fixture, this. It’s always a lively affair. I’m going to go for a draw.”

Everton to get a result

While Foster didn’t acknowledge the punishment the Toffees have received, and therefore the effect on the game and the fans, his comment about it being a lively occasion should be true, with the fans planning mass protests ahead of and during the game.

Playing against Manchester United could provide Everton with the perfect opportunity to show that they have not been knocked by the points deduction and that they will continue to fight for their place in the Premier League.

The players, backed by the fans at Goodison Park, should be up for this one. The opportunity to make a statement in a game which, if they win, could move them out of the bottom three already, should mean the players perform to a level above their usual.

Foster is right, there have been some huge results lately for Sean Dyche’s side, and claiming another scalp at Goodison Park will do wonders for the landscape of their season if they can earn even one point on Sunday.
