Injury Expert shares early Everton team news for Premier League clash v Manchester United

Everton are set to be without four first-team players for their Premier League clash against Manchester United on Sunday [26 November], according to Ben Dinnery.

The injury expert shared on his website Premier Injuries that Dele Alli and Andre Gomes remain Everton’s two guaranteed absentees for Wednesday’s game at Goodison Park, Alli is likely to return in December while Gomes is scheduled to potentially return on Sunday but is still noted as “ruled out”.

Both Amadou Onana and Seamus Coleman’s fitness status are at 25 per cent but the latter featured in an under-21s game on Wednesday night (22 November) so is gearing up for a return very soon. Sean Dyche could yet provide a crucial update on Onana’s fitness during his press conference on Friday (24 November).

Home concern

Everton and their fans will of course be reeling right now over the Premier League’s harsh decision to deduct ten points from them after their FFP irregularities.

However, there’s no use mulling over it with the English top-flight making a return this weekend and that starts against Manchester United on Sunday with Dyche’s men actually intent on continuing their good form.

Everton

The Toffees are unbeaten in their last four matches in all competitions, picking up results against incredibly tough opposition, including Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, West Ham at the London Stadium and a point against high-flying Brighton.

However, their home form is the one blot on their impressive renaissance under Dyche’s tutelage and must be corrected starting against Erik ten Hag’s team who actually have the best record in their last five games than anyone else despite their poor start to the season.

Everton have just won the one game at home so far, coming against Bournemouth on 7 October and have lost the other four and drawn one, meaning they have the third worst home record in the division so far.

And they come up against a United side who have lost more at home than they have away but are still unconvincing despite their mini resurgence. Dyche will know his side can move past the points deduction debacle and grab some crucial points at Goodison Park on Sunday.
