Journalist predicts Everton supporters will ‘swallow Man United alive’ at Goodison Park
Manchester United are at risk of being overawed by angry home fans during their Premier League clash with Everton, according to Jay Harris.
Everton supporters are planning a mass protest before and during Sunday’s (26 November) match at Goodison Park after being docked 10 points.
The Athletic reporter Harris, speaking on the Totally Football Show [23 November, 49m 8s], believes the intense atmosphere will work in Everton’s favour.

“I’ve been to Everton two or three times while covering Brentford and it’s the angstiest ground around,” he said.
“They never need an excuse to whip around an atmosphere. I definitely think that could swallow Man United alive.
“[Man United] haven’t shown the best form this season when under pressure.”
Unique atmosphere
Some may feel that protesting the points deduction is an unwelcome distraction for players, but it will be anything but.
Supporters are not angry with the players but rather the authorities – or more specifically, those who dished out this over-the-top punishment.
It will make for a superb atmosphere at Goodison Park, potentially one of the best ever at the famous old ground, for a match watched worldwide.

Those watching in Australia, America or wherever it may be, they will see clearly just what Everton fans make of Premier League chiefs.
United’s players, in fairness, have played in hostile environments across the world, but this will certainly be something rather unique.
As Harris said, the Red Devils hardly have the best of records this season when under pressure, so let us just hope that works in our favour.
Those attending that match must just ensure they get fully behind the players and spur Everton on to three vital points.
In other Everton news, a journalist claims the Toffees may have actually been saved by their points deduction.
