Gabby Agbonlahor predicts ‘tough game’ in Everton v Manchester United clash

Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed Manchester United will scrape through in their Premier League clash with Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday 26 November.

The former Aston Villa striker commented that Everton will make it a difficult game, but thinks United will find a way to win despite their disadvantage away from home.

Despite claiming it would be a tough game, Agbonlahor predicted United to gain all three points, with Bruno Fernandes and Rasmus Hojlund backed to find the back of the net.

Agbonlahor made his Premier League predictions for talkSPORT [23 November], saying: “I think it’ll be another tough game for Manchester United. I think if they win this one they’re going to scrape through it.

“I feel like Everton will make it hard at home, but I just think Manchester United find a way, and I think this is a game where they will. Fernandes and Hojlund I’m going to go, and I’m going to go with a 2-1 win to Manchester United.”

Everton fans will make it tough

The fans at Goodison Park make it a tough place to travel for visitors, especially clubs like Manchester United, at the best of times, but with the added tension and frustration as a result of the points deduction, that atmosphere will become even more hostile.

Everton will want blood, feeling they have been harshly treated by the Premier League, and the opposition are the first to stand in the way of their task of recouping the points taken away from them as a result of the rule breach.

While United may well get a result, it will be far from an easy game and as Agbonlahor says, if they are to win they will have to scrape through it. Sean Dyche and his players will view this as an opportunity to make a statement given the tension around the club.

Everton

Many are backing Everton to get a result here, with the fired-up nature of the players and crowd likely to make the difference, but make no mistake, United come into this one as favourites and should probably be winning.

In other Everton news, Peter Reid has given his verdict on the points deduction.
