Journalist: Manchester United ‘likely to fear’ Everton as Goodison Park prediction made

Manchester United are “likely to fear” Everton in their upcoming Premier League clash, according to journalist Alex Keble.

The Red Devils travel to Goodison Park on Sunday (26 November), in Everton’s first match since being docked 10 points.

The Merseyside club dropped from 14th to 19th place in the table after being found guilty of breaching the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules.

“It leaves them joint-bottom of the table on four points, plunging Everton back into the relegation battle, for now at least,” Keble wrote for the official Premier League website (24 November).

“But their new league position does not alter the fact that Everton are one of the Premier League’s most in-form teams – and one a goal-shy United are likely to fear.” Keble added that he expects “Goodison Park to be rocking on Sunday.”

Home win on the cards?

Everton supporters should be more than up for this clash at Goodison, with fans still very angry and frustrated with the 10-point deduction.

The atmosphere should be superb in and around the stadium as the home fans get their feelings across, with the visitors perhaps going to be unnerved.

Erik ten Hag’s men should, however, have more than enough experience to not let the situation distract them. But they haven’t exactly shone on the pitch this season, with the Manchester outfit nowhere near their best in recent months.

It is imperative that the men in blue do not let the occasion overwhelm them, with manager Sean Dyche needing to ensure his players do not get overemotional.

After all their hard work in recent times, with wins against the likes of West Ham and Crystal Palace, they will undoubtedly be angered after being shot back down the table.

But wise heads must prevail, with the home side simply needing to keep up the good work that they have been doing on the pitch.

In other Everton news, Kaveh Solhekol has made a Toffees Premier League relegation prediction on Sky Sports following their 10-point deduction.
