We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Everton...

Everton attacker Dele Alli will not return to training until the second week of December due to a groin injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that the club could give him an extended training ramp up to ensure that he’s fit and available for Sean Dyche.

The England international is yet to make a senior appearance under the Toffees manager despite it being nearly a year since he took over the reins at Goodison Park.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Goodison News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:

I imagine the club will give him an extended first team training ramp up – two to three weeks to see how he responds – and then bounce matches.

The second week of December is perhaps when he returns to full first-team training.

However, there is the caveat of him not face another setback.”

Alli is on tenterhooks at Goodison Park as he does not know what the future holds for him amid uncertainty over his fitness.

Thus far, he’s suffered numerous setbacks and it remains to be seen if Everton do show some more faith in him and keep him until the end of the season.

There have also been reports about Everton being in talks to restructure the finances of the Alli transfer with Tottenham Hotspur.
