Everton want to sign Adam Wharton as Tottenham transfer update emerges on Tuesday
Everton want to sign Adam Wharton as they are long-term admirers of the Blackburn Rovers midfielder, according to 90min.
The news outlet reported on Tuesday (28 November) that Tottenham have been keeping a “close eye” on the 19-year-old’s development this season.
It added that the Toffees are also joined in the mix to sign the England U-20 international by Brighton, Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle United after he has been described as “one of the best” young players in the Championship.

Tough competition
It sounds as though Everton are facing extremely tough competition if they want to try and bring Wharton to Goodison Park once the transfer window comes around.
The midfielder is certainly not short of suitors and a couple of those clubs would argue he has more chance of improving under them than with the Toffees.
But the club are making more of a conscious effort to give young players a chance after they were linked with several emerging talents during the summer transfer window.

The Englishman has already turned out 39 times for Blackburn, including racking up 17 appearances this season after nailing down a first-team place.
Whether or not the Blues can make a serious push to sign him will largely depend on their financial situation and position in the Premier League when the transfer window opens.
In other Everton news, Alan Brazil has predicted “chaos” to ensue in the Premier League after a Toffees development.
