Alan Myers shares Everton appeal update within last hour as Premier League deadline approaches
Everton are expected to submit their appeal against the 10-point deduction on Friday (1 December), according to Alan Myers.
The Sky Sports journalist tweeted on Wednesday (29 November) that the club will take the full 14 days they were allocated to appeal against the verdict issued by the independent commission.
He added that the case will be heard by a different panel to the original commission as the Toffees aim to have their punishment reduced.
Time will tell
It’s an extremely contentious situation and no one really knows yet what the eventual outcome could potentially be once Everton submit their appeal.
The club have made it clear ever since they were handed the 10-point deduction that they were going to appeal against the ruling by the independent commission.
They will no doubt be pleased that the case will not be heard by the same panel after they felt harshly done by following the original hearing.

The result of the appeal could be extremely important as it could be the difference between the Toffees remaining in the Premier League or not depending on how they perform over the next few months.
It will be an anxious wait to see how the situation pans out, but it’s unlikely that the matter will be drawn to a close for quite a while yet.
