Everton defender Ashley Young must be axed by Sean Dyche v Nottingham Forest
Ashley Young has been disastrous in the first half against Nottingham Forest and has been a liability for Everton at the City Ground.
The main moment was when he was one v one v Anthony Elanga who made Young look like a schoolboy against a professional.
Elanga ran rings around him and had Young not brought him down, he would’ve had a shot at goal as well.

It was still a risky position to concede a foul in and it makes no sense to still have him in the team.
According to Sofascore, he attempted three crosses and was not successful with even one of them.
He lost possession on six occasions and did not look comfortable most times he had the ball at his feet.
Considering Young’s poor defensive performance and lack of contribution in the attack against Forest, Dyche should consider substituting him at half-time to address these issues.

Defensive lapses can lead to conceding goals, jeopardising the team’s chances.
Moreover, if Young isn’t providing any meaningful contribution in the attacking phase, it diminishes Everton’s overall effectiveness.
Making a timely substitution would allow Dyche to bring in a fresher or more defensively adept player which is Nathan Patterson and this would end up bolstering the team’s resilience at the back.
This strategic decision could potentially improve Everton’s overall performance in the match, providing a chance to turn the tide or secure a more solid defensive foundation.
Dyche’s proactive approach to making substitutions could be crucial in adapting to the evolving dynamics of the game and maximising Everton’s chances of success and it needs to be done at the break.
