Dele Alli reacts to Dwight McNeil celebrations after Everton 1-0 win v Nottingham Forest
Everton midfielder Dele Alli has reacted to Dwight McNeil’s celebrations after the Toffees defeated Nottingham Forest 1-0.
The latter scored the only goal of the narrow Premier League encounter at the City Ground on Saturday (2 December).
His strike secured a fifth league win for the Toffees, who moved up into 18th place in the table following the three points.

McNeil took to Instagram to celebrate his goal and the victory, with his Everton teammate Alli among those commenting on the post.
The win marked the club’s first since their 10-point deduction for breaching the league’s profit and sustainability rules.

Huge win
Everton knew they needed to produce something special to defeat Steve Cooper’s side on home soil, with Forest turning the City Ground into a fortress in recent times.
That is not something that can be said of the Toffees at Goodison Park, with Sean Dyche’s men impressing on the road rather than on home soil this season.
Fortunately then this match was on the road, and it was a hard-fought three points for Everton, with the game won by a superb strike from McNeil.
But it was a real team display from the visitors, who were keen to bounce back from a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Manchester United last time out as soon as possible.
They threatened to score against Erik ten Hag’s men but it wasn’t meant to be, with star winger McNeil ensuring that scenario was not repeated this time around.
The Merseyside outfit can now make it back-to-back wins when they take on Newcastle United on Thursday (7 December).
In other Everton news, a former Goodison Park chief has shared a “very surprised” verdict after the club’s 10-point deduction.
