Everton: James McFadden gushes over ‘unbelievable’ Beto after what he did v Newcastle
James McFadden was full of praise for Everton forward Beto after his goal in the 3-0 victory against Newcastle at Goodison Park as he labelled him “unbelievable”.
The former Toffees striker could not have high enough praise for the Portuguese, as he detailed how the result would be a dream for Everton as they ran out 3-0 winners.
Beto arrived at Everton in the summer transfer window and had struggled to make much of an impact on the first team, but his goal last night as he bullied his way through the Newcastle team was worthy of the high praise.

Commentating on the game for BBC Radio 5 Live [7 December, 21:30], McFadden gushed: “It looked like Everton were just going to wind the game down but this is really well worked.
“Bruno Guimaraes loses his composure and chases it down, Everton switch it and then it’s put through to Beto.
“He shows pace, strength and unbelievable composure. This scoreline is a dream for Everton.”
Time for Beto to show what he can do
Despite his big-money arrival in the summer, Beto has failed to make his mark on the Everton team so far, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin remaining the main man up top for Sean Dyche, but after that goal, it may be time for the Portuguese to step up.
It was his first Premier League goal for the club, coming in a game that proved a culmination of all of Everton’s strong performances which have gone without merit so far this season as they smashed high-flying Newcastle.

He has all the tools to thrive under Dyche, he is big, physical, and composed in front of the goal, and has all the hallmarks of being a successful centre-forward in the direct style the boss prefers, with his strength the key to holding off defenders and making things happen.
With Calvert-Lewin suffering a slight dip in his form in front of goal, now may be the time for Beto to step up and be called upon to show what he can do in the Premier League.
In other Everton news, fans will be fuming at the latest FA confirmation.
