Sean Dyche can expect new Everton contract soon after what Kevin Thelwell said
Sean Dyche can expect a new contract to land on his table soon after Everton Director of Football Kevin Thelwell revealed the club feel lucky to have him at the helm.
Thelwell shared his opinion that Dyche is easy to work with, having built a strong relationship with the manager very quickly after his arrival at Goodison Park.
He finished by hinting at a possible long-term deal, saying he feels things are going well under Dyche’s management and he hopes they will continue that way.

Speaking to the VSI Sporting Directors’ Podcast [5 December], Thelwell shared: “We regard ourselves as being very lucky that someone like Sean was available. He’s been a Premier League manager for a long time and has done unbelievable things with Burnley with very limited resources.
“For him to be available, keen to have the job, and for us to be able to build a very good relationship very quickly… He’s very collaborative, very easy to work with.
“I feel it’s going in the right direction, and hopefully we continue to move in the right direction.”
Dyche has earned a new deal
The current deal Dyche is on runs until June 2025, meaning at the end of the season he will have just a year left for his spell at Goodison Park, and he has certainly earned an extension to that deal based on his performances since arriving at the club.
Having kept the club up last year, he was tasked with doing the same again this year, and with five wins from 14 games so far, he has put them in a good position to make that happen despite a ten-point deduction for breaches of Profit and Sustainability Rules.

Working as well as Dyche has done in such difficult circumstances is a commendable achievement and a new deal at Everton would be the best way to mark that and show their belief in his ability and pride in what he has done.
The Daily Mail [28 November] reported that the ten-point deduction has put any possible talks over a new deal on hold, but given Thelwell’s recent comments, the possibility of a new contract remains on the table and could be offered in the near future.
In other Everton news, Thelwell also shared a new transfer budget admission.
