Seamus Coleman not involved as Mackenzie Hunt included in squad – Confirmed Everton XI v Chelsea

Sean Dyche has made one change to his side for the Everton game against Chelsea on Sunday (10 December).

The Toffees confirmed their starting lineup via their official Twitter page, with Jordan Pickford starting in goal behind Ashley Young, James Tarkowski, Jarrad Branthwaite and Vitaliy Mykolenko.

The returning James Garner will partner Abdoulaye Doucoure and Idrissa Gueye in midfield, while Dwight McNeil and Jack Harrison will start out wide and look to support lone striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Seamus Coleman has dropped out of the squad altogether after he started in the 3-0 victory over Newcastle United on Thursday (7 December), while 22-year-old Mackenzie Hunt, who has never played for the club, has been included on the bench.

Opportunity

This is a game that presents another excellent opportunity for Everton to pick up a vital three points as they look to create a gap between themselves and the sides in the relegation zone.

Since the Toffees were handed a 10-point deduction for breaching the Premier League’s spending rules, they have won two out of their past three matches.

That has taken them up to fourth-bottom in the table already after they’ve bounced back superbly following the harsh penalty they received last month.

Everton

The Blues will look to take the game to Chelsea after the visitors have been in very indifferent form so far this season despite the quality they possess.

Dyche will believe his side have more than enough in their ranks to pick up a result, though, as they look to have another afternoon of celebrations on Merseyside.

In other Everton news, Paul Merson has made a brand new Toffees prediction.
