Gary Neville names Everton as he unleashes on Manchester United and Chelsea for Sky Sports

Gary Neville has labelled Manchester United and Chelsea as “laughing stocks” as Everton picked up another win on Sunday 10 December.

The Toffees bullied Chelsea at Goodison Park, weeks after losing to the Red Devils, something Neville did not read too much into given the actual performances.

Everton would be sitting 10th in the Premier League without their points deduction right now, ahead of Chelsea and only four points behind Manchester United.

Everton

Speaking on the Gary Neville Podcast after Spurs beat Newcastle on Sunday 10 December, the pundit did not hold back when looking at two big names.

“I can’t be conned by the Everton and Chelsea wins [for Manchester United],” he said.

“At Everton, we were there weren’t we and 20 minutes before half time they could have conceded two or three goals, Chelsea the other night were abysmal.

“I know we all stay clear of saying how bad Chelsea were as you didn’t want to take away from the United, you can’t be seen to criticise them all the time and there was a high energy in the game.

“Chelsea were awful, Chelsea were woefully bad and they got beat up again today at Goodison Park, Chelsea and Manchester United right now are a bit of a laughing stock.”

Everton

Fighting.

No one knows what Everton are going through right now, and they are coming out of the other side with phenomenal results – something that has to lead to massive credit.

Sean Dyche has found another level in his players, and Chelsea found that out the hard way on Sunday, something Manchester United were lucky to escape.

On another day, we could be sitting much closer to Erik Ten Hag’s men, who watched his side somehow escape Merseyside with a clean sheet on the day.

Everton always stands up when they need to, whether the fans, the players, the management and that is exactly what was needed when everyone else seems to be against them.

Long may this continue, because even with the points deduction, you could see the Toffees finish above Chelsea, who were left moaning about transfers again.

It’s Everton against the world right now, and they are winning.

In other Everton news, Gareth Southgate can surely not ignore Jarrad Branthwaite after his performance versus Chelsea.
