Nicolas Jackson will not face FA action after Everton v Chelsea incident
Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson will not face any retrospective action from the FA after his outburst at the end of the Everton clash on Sunday 10 December, according to Matt Law.
The Telegraph journalist reported the news after the Senegal international was spotted with his hand around the neck of Nathan Patterson.
Jackson was angered by something at the full-time whistle and was forced off the pitch and down the tunnel by staff after the incident.
It is shared that match officials reviewed the incident at the time and decided that no further action needed to be taken, something that may baffle many.
Shocker.
As so many do at Goodison Park when everything is on top of them, Jackson simply lost his head and Everton took advantage of that.
How on earth the striker will avoid retrospective action is against us though, as if that happened in the 90 minutes, he would have been sent off instantly, so what makes it fine now?
Patterson will no doubt have said something, but that is no excuse to do what Jackson did, and he will be allowed to move on as if nothing happened, it isn’t good enough.
Especially at a time when VAR, officials and the Premier League are handing out punishments for anything on and off the pitch, they have missed another clear one – what a surprise it was against Everton.
Sean Dyche and the club won’t care though, as another three points saw them put clear daylight between themselves and the relegation zone, and it is massively deserved.
Jackson was embarrassing, you cannot spit out your dummy like that.
