Jamie Carragher predicts the result of the Sean Dyche derby for Sky Sports as Everton face Burnley
Jamie Carragher has predicted Everton to keep on rolling with their excellent current form and defeat Sean Dyche’s former side Burnley this weekend.
The Sky Sports pundit has tipped the Toffees for an away win at Turf Moor on the broadcaster’s website (14 December), for a fourth consecutive victory.
Having overcome Nottingham Forest, Newcastle and Chelsea in succession while recording three clean sheets Carragher has predicted it to be a tight affair but for Everton to come away with the points after a 2-1 result.

The match will be the first time Dyche has faced the Clarets in the league after spending a decade at the club before he was sacked during the relegation battle two seasons ago, having won 3-0 in the League Cup last month (1 November).
On a roll
Few would pick against Everton currently as the already-impressive form under Dyche this season now appears to have been fuelled by extra belief in the wake of the points deduction and if anything the team has improved.
Having climbed four points clear of the bottom three after clawing back 90% of the 10-point penalty imposed over the international break the Toffees are one of the form teams in the Premier League.
Were it not for the spending sanction they would be in the top half of the table and within touching distance of European places.

Burnley were the only side still worse off when Everton were dumped into the relegation zone without kicking a ball, and while they may have lifted themselves off the bottom with a point against Brighton and a big win over Sheffield United this month they are still a side that have struggled so far this term.
That might actually make them more dangerous than the likes of Newcastle and Chelsea who were overwhelmed at Goodison in consecutive fixtures.
The expectation will be on Dyche and his side in this one as both the bigger and the in-form side, but the Toffees have been formidable away from home this season so there should be confidence in erasing the last of the deducted points on the climb back up the table.
