Ben Godfrey handed first start, four changes – Everton confirmed XI v Burnley
Sean Dyche has named his Everton XI as Burnley welcome the Toffees to Turf Moor on Saturday evening (16 December) in the Premier League.
With Jarrad Branthwaite suspended after his fifth booking of the season against Chelsea, Michael Keane pairs James Tarkowski in the centre of defence. Ashley Young is unavailable so Nathan Patterson makes his sixth league start of the season.
Vitalii Mykolenko also makes way, with Ben Godfrey handed his first start of the Premier League season, being capable of deputising at full-back.
Idrissa Gana Gueye joins Branthwaite in being suspended so Amadou Onana, James Garner and Abdoulaye Doucoure start in Everton’s midfield, while Dwight McNeil and Jack Harrison maintain their starting positions.
The wide midfield pair support Dominic Calvert-Lewin up front, with the striker looking for his first goal since West Ham on 29 October.
Everton took to Twitter to share their lineup for the game.
Chance to widen gap
The Toffees come to Turf Moor four points of the relegation zone, looking to claim all three points against 19th-place Burnley, who have won twice in 16 games.
Everton have won three consecutive games, seemingly unaffected by their 10-point deduction delivered by the Premier League and could be in the top half of the table without it.

The last time they won four Premier League matches in a row was in 2020, when they beat Tottenham Hotspur, West Brom, Crystal Palace and Brighton, before ending the streak in a 2-2 Merseyside derby draw.
However, the Clarets are currently in the best form of their season, picking four points up against Sheffield United and Brighton, sandwiching a 1-0 loss to Wolves.
It will be a hard-fought battle between two tough sides, with both hoping to avoid relegation back to the Championship amid a tough winter period.
