Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure may be ruled out for several weeks if it is a significant hamstring injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The Toffees defender remains a doubt for the club’s Carabao Cup clash against Fulham on 19 December.

Sean Dyche claimed that he felt an issue in his hamstring and that the club hoped it was not anything serious but there is no official word on any development.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Goodison News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:

“The best case scenario would be the tightness simply indicates overload in the muscle and no overt tear.

The worst case would be a significant hamstring injury, ruling him out for several weeks.

The physios should have a good idea of general severity but can take few days to fully evaluate so it’s wait and see for now.”

Doucoure has been one of the best players for Everton this season for Everton and Dyche will be sweating on his availability.

The Mali international has been a rare source of goals this season, finding the back of the net on six occasions in 17 Premier League matches.

Despite being a central midfielder, he has been used in the number 10/shadow striker role and has been devastating there.

In other Everton news, a club shareholder has gone on record to slam a “terrible” development surrounding the Toffees and has made an admission on Sean Dyche.
