BBC Sport shares Sean Dyche reaction to first half Vitaliy Mykolenko incident in 2-1 Everton loss v Tottenham
BBC Sport shared how Sean Dyche reacted after one Vitalii Mykolenko incident as Everton suffered a 2-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon.
The Toffees were looking to record their fifth successive win in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon (23 December) but made hard work of it as Spurs raced into a 2-0 lead after 18 minutes.
Before having a Dominic Calvert-Lewin goal ruled out after a foul from the returning Andre Gomes in the second half, Dyche was left fuming at an incident before half-time when two balls were on the pitch as Mykolenko had a chance to grab a goal back for the Toffees.

BBC Sport’s live reporting of the game (23 December, 15:43pm) shared:
“Well, this isn’t ideal.
“There’s two balls on the pitch as Vitalii Mykolenko fires one wide from an Everton attack down the right.
“Sean Dyche is fuming on the touchline but there’s nothing the referee can do apart from bringing play back.”
Tough
There was simply nothing the referee could do for that incident but actually bring play back for that but given the result for Everton, Dyche simply had no option but to fume at what happened.
Mykolenko wasted a great chance there and had he had scored, would the referee have brought play back then? If so, no fan in North London would certainly want to see Dyche’s reaction then.

Despite the result, Everton can be proud of their performance as they certainly gave Tottenham a run for their money despite going two goals down.
Gomes’ consolation goal certainly left some Spurs fans in a nervous state given their team’s poor record from winning positions this season.
However, Dyche will not be happy at the way his side defended Tottenham’s second, a critical mistake which crucially ended their impressive four-game winning run in the Premier League.
In other Everton news, a journalist has shut down a “far-fetched” Toffees transfer for one international ace.
