Everton v Tottenham Hotspur: BBC pundit fumes as footage emerges
Efan Ekoku has slammed the Everton defenders in the game against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, 23 December, in the Premier League.
The South Korea international doubled the lead for Spurs as they secured a 2-1 victory over the Toffees in North London.
Footage has emerged from the goal which shows the Toffees players not reacting quickly to keep the ball out of the net.
Speaking on Premier League’s world feed (23 December, 15:19), Ekoku, a BBC pundit said, “That’s an awful goal to give away. They’re all looking at the ball. Was unchallenged there and the ball finds its way into the back of the net. Lazy defending edge of the box.”
Unlike a Dyche team
Sean Dyche usually has his team well drilled, especially in defending and these situations should be bread and butter for them.
Granted Spurs were the favourites going into this game but that does not mean the Toffees should’ve just conceded such a sill goal.
The game provided opportunities for the Toffees to find the back of the net but it just wasn’t meant to be for them.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin did score but his strike was ruled out as Andre Gomes was judged to have committed a foul in the build up.
This will not mean completely ripping up their plans but Dyche will certainly be showing his players the footage and asking them to do better.
This is an unacceptable way to concede a goal and hopefully, it does not happen in the games to come for the Toffees.
There were still things from the match that were impressive and it was a decent performance despite the result.
In other Everton news, a club shareholder has gone on record to slam a “terrible” development surrounding the Toffees and has made an admission on Sean Dyche.
