Chris Sutton predicts result of Everton clash v Wolves for BBC Sport
Chris Sutton has shared his predictions as Everton travel to Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon (30 December).
Sean Dyche’s men will be aiming to return to winning ways after two successive defeats to Manchester City (27 December) and Tottenham (23 December) when they travel to the Molineux to take on Gary O’Neil’s men.
The Toffees suffered a disappointing 3-1 defeat to Pep Guardiola’s at Goodison Park despite a strong display, while Wolves battered Brentford 4-1 away from home to maintain their own good form.

Sutton sharing his predictions for BBC Sport (29 December) predicts the Toffees to grab a “sneak” result at the Molinuex and admitted that he’s liked what he’s seen from Dyche’s men despite their last two defeats.
He wrote: “This should be a really good game and is very tough to call.
“Wolves have won their past two games, while Everton have lost both of theirs, but I still like what I see from the Toffees – they had a go against Tottenham and Manchester City and were unlucky to have nothing to show for it.
“Wolves have been impressive too, and manager Gary O’Neil deserves a lot of credit for steering them into mid-table after walking into a mess when he took over just before the season. However, I fancy Everton to sneak this one.”
What a game
The form and performance levels of Everton recently have been very positive, despite results against Tottenham and Manchester City not really going their way but they certainly need to start getting points on the board again.
The 10-point deduction has already been implemented despite the appeal process being underway, and it has dragged us into a relegation battle that Dyche’s men have no business being part as the table suggests Everton would be in 10th if not for the punishment.

However, form and performances alone aren’t guarantees of getting results and it’s time the Toffees get back to winning ways and will need to pull off another away-day masterclass at Wolves on Saturday.
However, O’Neil’s men are pushovers and possess some tremendous players who are bang in form right now in Matheus Cunha, Mario Lemina and Hwang but the latter is a doubt for the game with a back spasm and given his tremendous season so far, his absence will be a big boost for Everton.
The form away from home has also been really good for the Toffees, but Wolves undoubtedly feel they can win this too given their own resurgence which should make for an open and intriguing contest.
