Simon Jordan says Sean Dyche has got what he wants at Everton in January after what Jim White said on talkSPORT
Simon Jordan stated that Sean Dyche gets “precisely what he wants” as the FA Cup replay between Everton and Crystal Palace will be played during the winter break.
Following a 0-0 draw on Thursday 5 January, Jim White told the talkSPORT host that the Premier League pair will play each other once again on 17th January, smack bang in the middle of the winter break.
Despite disrupting what would be a break for the Toffees players, Simon Jordan is adamant that Dyche has been given exactly what he wants with the replay.

“That’s great for Sean Dyche. He has been complaining about not wanting the winter break,” Jordan said live on talkSPORT on Friday (5 January, 10:13am).
“So he should be pleased, getting exactly what he wants. Earlier this week, he was remarking on the fact that the only beneficiaries of a winter break are the bigger clubs. OK, Sean, you don’t have a winter break.”
Be careful what you wish for
Instead of disrupting Everton’s flow of games with a winter break, Dyche will need to begin preparing for another cup fixture as they face Crystal Palace once again.
It gives his side a much-needed opportunity to rediscover their previous form from the first few matches after the 10-point deduction was handed to them by the Premier League.

After an unusual 3-0 defeat to Manchester United, stunned by Alejandro Garnacho’s opener, the Toffees won four games on the bounce, all to nil. They shoved aside Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United, Chelsea and Burnley and looked to have escaped the threat of relegation.
However, a run of tough results against Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Wolves saw Luton Town catch up, with the two separated by just one point. Everton will hope to get back to winning ways, using the winter break as a boost.
