Chelsea Women set to sign Nathalie Bjorn in six-figure deal, Everton player due in London
Everton defender Nathalie Bjorn is set to join Chelsea in a deal worth well over £100,000 and is due in London this weekend, according to Ben Jacobs.
Writing on his personal Twitter account (6 January), the journalist reports the defender is heading to London with her agent after a deal was agreed between the clubs.
Bjorn is set to sign a three-and-a-half-year deal with the current WSL champions, with the deal to be finalised in the next 48 hours.
“Sweden international Nathalie Bjorn is set to join Chelsea from Everton,” he wrote.
“Deal facilitated by Neverland Management and both player and agent Megan Brakes are due in London this weekend to finalise the deal.
“Fee well over £100k and contract until summer 2027.”
Blow
It’s a blow for the Everton Women’s team as Bjorn has been featuring fairly regularly this season with eight appearances in the WSL plus two more in the cup.
She has impressed with strong tackling and good energy while she is also very strong in possession too, capable of playing in midfield.

After losing Gabby George in the summer to Manchester United, it shows that there is a good squad for the Toffees but keeping everyone together is always difficult when the top teams start circling.
The money will hopefully be put to good use during the transfer window to bring in a replacement, but now the team has to focus on preparing for the game later this month with Manchester City without a key player.
The team currently sit comfortably in mid-table but with a string of good results they will be hopeful of pushing up the table rather than looking over their shoulders at those behind them.
