Everton transfer news: Rangers linked Michy Batshuayi issues Fenerbahce admission
Fenerbahce striker Michy Batshuayi has issued an update on his future amid links to Everton and Rangers in the January transfer window.
Football Scotland reported on 11 January that Rangers and Toffees were both keen on the Belgian as contract talks have broken down and hit a roadblock at his current club.
However, the former Chelsea striker has no plans to leave for any other side except Real Madrid this month.

He told Beyav TV, as quoted by Football Scotland: “I am here until the end of the season. My priority is to make Fenerbahce champions. Then we will talk to the president. I want to stay in Fenerbahce. Of course, if Real Madrid calls, things may change.”
Not needed
Everton currently boast a solid strike force with Dominic Calvert-Lewin leading the line effectively.
The summer acquisition of Beto as his backup signifies a significant investment in the striking department.
Calvert-Lewin’s form and Beto’s arrival have seemingly addressed the team’s immediate needs in the attacking front.
Pursuing another striker, especially one like Batshuayi, may not align with Everton’s priorities.

The club’s financial constraints further emphasise the need to allocate resources wisely and instead of investing in another striker, they should focus on strengthening their defensive setup, where improvements are evidently needed.
Additionally, addressing the wide attacking positions could enhance squad depth and tactical options.
Given the financial challenges, prioritising loan deals for a defender and a wide attacker seems a more prudent approach for Everton in the January transfer window.
If Arnaut Danjuma and Amadou Onana both leave, those positions may also need to be filled in.
In other Everton news, a Toffees-linked player is now in advanced talks to secure a move to Sheffield United in the January transfer window.
