Aston Villa could be without seven first-team players for their Premier League clash against Everton, according to Ben Dinnery.

The injury expert shared the data on his website and has listed the players who will not be available and are “ruled out”, for Sunday's clash (14 January) at Goodison Park.

Emiliano Buendia, Bertrand Traore and Tyrone Mings are all ruled out of Sunday's game but the Villans could possible have Youri Tielemans, former Everton goalkeeper Robin Olsen and Pau Torres back in action with their status at 75 per cent.

Must win

Everton have swiftly found themselves well and truly back in the relegation battle at the bottom of the Premier League now only just one point above 18th-placed Luton Town, who have a game in hand.

While Everton’s form at the start of December saw them climb out of the bottom three, they simply have to get back to those run of wins that lifted the optimism and spirits of everyone at the club amidst the ten-point deduction.

Everton

Aston Villa have been impressive this season and beating them will be no easy task, but if Sean Dyche’s team can take points off one of the Premier League’s surprise packages, it would be a huge result, even if they can only draw.

The Toffees have been known to record some surprise results under Dyche's management and they will need to record one on Sunday if they are to kick off 2024 in the best way possible.

Aston Villa have some promising ambitions of their own as they'll be looking to keep in touch with those at the top of the Premier League, currently sitting second, three points off Liverpool.

With the Reds not in action this week, the Villans have a great chance to close that gap but have a desperate Everton in their way to those crucial three points.
