Kaveh Solhekol shares what Premier League clubs think of Everton now after latest Financial Fair Play charge
Kaveh Solhekol has shared what the other clubs in the Premier League think of Everton and Nottingham Forest amid the recent P&S twist.
The Sky Sports journalist claims that there is sympathy for the two sides that have allegedly breached the financial rules of the league.
That being said, there is also the feeling of “rules are rules” among the clubs not involved in this saga.
He said on Sky Sports, “You can expect clubs closer to the bottom of the table may be happy that perhaps two of their rivals could have points deducted. I actually sense that there is some sympathy for Everton and Forest, I think more for Everton. People realise that rules are rules, the Premier League is very competitive – it’s basically dog eat dog. People think that Everton are being punished unduly.”
Spot on
The reported sympathy from other Premier League clubs for the Toffees and Forest does little to ease the frustration among supporters.
The sentiment that “rules are rules” may prevail, but the perception that the Merseyside outfit are being unduly punished creates a sense of injustice.
While Everton contend with potential double jeopardy, fans may be particularly incensed by the lack of uniform treatment across all clubs, with some allegedly breaching financial rules but not facing similar consequences.

The situation adds to the broader uncertainty surrounding the club, including a pending change in ownership and the ongoing construction of a new stadium, creating a period of heightened frustration and concern for the club’s supporters.
Manchester City, with their 100+ charges, do not appear to be in nearly as much danger as the Toffees do and that’s a huge surprise, to say the least.
Even Chelsea look to have gotten away with a slap on their wrist, clearing showing the league’s bias towards its big six.
In other Everton news, a Toffees-linked player is now in advanced talks to secure a move to Sheffield United in the January transfer window.
