Everton fans should worry as double Jarrad Branthwaite transfer blow emerges

Everton manager Sean Dyche has done a fine job at Goodison Park amid all the noise behind the scenes during his tenure.

Unfortunately the man in the dugout now has to deal with another one, with the club charged once more for breaching the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules.

The financial issues at Goodison Park have been well documented, but they could now have a major impact on the manager in terms of losing key players.

And according to talkSPORT (16 January), one such player that the Toffees could be forced to sell due to their financial problems is Jarrad Branthwaite.

That potential summer sale should worry Everton fans, but the Goodison Park faithful have been handed another reason to worry given the player’s potential suitors, with talkSPORT adding that both Manchester United and Real Madrid want to sign Branthwaite.

The young defender has been a very reliable option for Dyche this season, forming a steady partnership alongside the experienced James Tarkowski.

The duo have definitely been crucial to keeping the Toffees above the Premier League relegation zone, with the club currently sitting in 17th place in the table.

It would be a massive blow if Branthwaite was to leave, and unfortunately for the Toffees, it seems that preventing either Manchester United or Real Madrid from successfully completing his signature is a lost cause.

The powers that be at Everton are likely to put financial stability ahead of one player, even if he is a key member of Dyche’s setup.

A positive in any sale would, of course, be the fee that the Merseyside could get for their young star, particularly if he did end up at either Old Trafford or the Santiago Bernabeu.
