Everton want to sign Almeria forward Largie Ramazani in cut-price transfer

Everton want to sign ex-Manchester United youngster Largie Ramazani in a cut-price transfer this month, according to El Mira.

Writing on their website (19 January) the Spanish news outlet report that several clubs are interested in the forward including Fiorentina, Lyon and Everton.

But after Almeria were holding out for £35m in the summer window according to AS, the La Liga outfit are now willing to part with him for a fraction of that amount with his asking price dropping down to £6.8m.

“The list of teams interested in Largie Ramazani continues to grow,” they wrote.

“In the last few hours, information from Raimondo De Magritis indicates that ACF Fiorentina would be the new club that has been interested in the signing of the UD Almería player. In addition to the Italian team, Olympique Lyon , Everton and Lille follow in the footsteps of the Belgian attacker.

“UD Almería, which closed its arrival for free in the 2020 summer market, could be satisfied by closing its sale in the coming days. The starting price could be around €8million (£6.8m).”

Surprise

Everton have had an interest in Ramazani for a while now stretching back to the summer transfer window, but a deal never came close to materialising because of the asking price.

There has been talk about Arnaut Danjuma potentially leaving during the window, and reports in France this week suggested that the Toffees were close to finding a replacement which made the Dutch winger’s exit “practically a done deal“.

It would then add up for Ramazani to be the man due to the financial demands it would take to get a deal done, the prior interest and the fact they play in a similar position.

The El Miras report suggests a deal isn’t close to being done, but if Everton have identified Ramazani as a target and think a deal is doable with their financial issues then it should come together fairly quickly.

This may be one to keep an eye on, and with the cut-price nature of the deal it’s something that needs to happen soon to prevent other teams from swooping in.
