Everton transfer update emerges ahead of February 1 deadline – Sky Sports
Everton want to keep their squad together entirely ahead of the February 1 transfer deadline, according to Sky Sports.
It has been reported on its live blog [January 29, 13:10] that the Toffees don’t want to lose any players as they can’t spend any money on incomings, not even a loan fee.
Despite that, Ben Godfrey and Mason Holgate have been named as two players who could find new clubs on loan, with Arnaut Danjuma set to remain at Goodison Park.
Quiet.
Sean Dyche made it clear in his latest press conference that he expects it to be quiet, but there is always the chance that something could happen.
Especially in January, when dominos can fall into place very late in the window and things can move quickly if a player becomes available at the last moment.
It is smart for Everton to not want to lose anyone though, with keeping the squad together potentially more important than letting someone leave and then disaster striking.
All it takes is one injury to flip things upside down, and someone such as Godfrey could get another chance.

Time will tell if this is the right call, but it could be basically forced on the club anyway given everything that is happening in the background right now.
It is better to be safe than sorry, especially at Goodison Park.
In other Everton news, the Toffees are “huge fans” of one Leicester City star as a late January development emerges.
