Alan Myers issues Everton transfer update on Deadline Day

Alan Myers claims that it’s not going to be easy for Everton to sign a new player on transfer Deadline Day with loans only being considered.

The Sky Sports editor reports that he believes the Toffees are trying to bring in a fresh face ahead of the 11 pm deadline.

The Toffees find themselves in another relegation battle and Sean Dyche is understood to be keen on signing a new player.

Via Twitter, Myers wrote, “I think they’re trying but it’s not an easy situation.”

Seems pretty difficult

With just eight hours left before the transfer deadline, Everton’s focus on loan signings and cautious approach to transfers is prudent as they face financial challenges amid ongoing takeover talks and reports of breaching Premier League financial regulations.

Thus, exercising caution in spending is crucial to avoid further financial strain.

Opting for loan deals allows Everton to bolster their squad without committing to significant long-term financial obligations, providing flexibility amidst ownership uncertainties.

They’ve already got their potential new owners constantly putting in money to run the club and signings are still paramount.

If the Toffees get relegated, their brand value reduces and the new owners would not want that.

Keeping them in the Premier League remains the priority and for that reason, they have to find a way to make something happen soon.

In other Everton news, the Toffees’ transfer deal to sign an in-form player in January will now include a £7m option to buy.
