Finance Expert reacts as 777 Partners given Everton tour at Bramley-Moore Dock

Dan Plumley has insisted that it is positive to see 777 Partners touring around Bramley-Moore Dock as the wait for their Everton takeover approval continues.

The football finance expert, however, did admit that as is usually the case with the Miami-based firm, negative news tends to follow the positive with yet more financial issues reported.

777 continues to provide funding for the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium, with their investment now reaching £190million after a new injection this month.

“As always, it is usually positive and then negative with 777,” he exclusively told Goodison News.

“We’ve seen further news over the past couple of weeks about some financial issues linked to a company they’re connected with outside of football and you get these every time along the way, how many times have we had this positive 777 news story at Everton and then something else countering it elsewhere?

If they’re looking around the stadium and being kept involved, and they seem to be very much in the presence at Everton at the minute which is a positive, but there is always kind of something in the background where something else is perhaps rearing its head in another part of the business.

Again, that’s why these things are taking time internally as well because the Premier League will be looking at all these connected companies as well and it does really get complex in terms of how that organisational network looks for 777 and how that plays out with the Everton takeover.”

Takeover twists and turns

Given the new developments regarding yet more money being pumped into the club, 777 Partners are not slowing down in their push for Premier League approval.

With the results of the appeal due in days, it could be a very good month if that is positive and the takeover is also approved to move into a new era.

Time will tell, but this certainly looks like a huge end to the month.
