Everton Women and Brian Sorensen charged by FA after what happened v Chelsea
The FA have revealed the reasons as Everton Women and head coach Brian Sorensen have been charged after the Chelsea game.
The association issued a statement on Twitter on 7 February claiming that Sorensen used abusive language while the players did not behave in a proper manner during the game.
The Toffees lost the game 3-0 with Guro Reiten scoring two controversial penalties.

Sorensen had every right to be fuming during the game due to contentious refereeing decisions that significantly impacted the outcome.
The first penalty awarded against the Toffees was controversial, with Clare Wheeler appearing to cleanly win the ball before a penalty was given.
The second penalty call was equally contentious, with minimal contact leading to another spot-kick for Chelsea.
Moreover, the lack of VAR in the Women’s Super League meant there was no opportunity for review or correction of these decisions.
Sorensen’s frustration was further compounded by his subsequent sending off for dissent, which seemed unjust given the circumstances.
All eyes will be on the Everton v Liverpool game which will be played in March and it remains to be seen how the club ends up responding.
