Everton go against Premier League in tense Friday meeting
Everton are one of the clubs to have gone against the Premier League in a tense meeting on Friday 9 February, according to Matt Hughes.
The Daily Mail journalist has shared that the Toffees have voted against the introduction of new associated party transaction rules in the Premier League.
Manchester City, Newcastle, Chelsea, Nottingham Forest and Sheffield United are the other clubs to have gone against the league in the latest shareholders meeting.
Everton fight back against Premier League
Richard Masters is now also said to be facing pressure from “rebel” clubs, although the majority of the clubs are said to support him as things stand.
The chief executive has been embarrassing in recent weeks, especially when he showed his true colours in parliament when speaking about Everton and Nottingham Forest.
Calling two of the biggest clubs in the country “small” was just one example of how he is not fit for purpose right now, with charges galore and appeals ongoing.

Everton are holding their heads up high and are really fighting back now, as they look to restore parity.
The points deduction and the behaviour of the Premier League after that has been embarrassing, and they cannot be in a power position like they are, only to act like this.
With a nervous wait until the appeal results emerge, things between the Premier League and Everton have never been worse, and it is only going to continue that way as things stand.
