Farhad Moshiri told to cancel Everton sale to 777 Partners by former Goodison employee
Everton should not proceed with a takeover from 777 Partners, according to former Goodison Park scout Bryan King.
The US investment firm agreed to acquire Farhad Moshiri’s stake in the Merseyside club last September, but the deal has still not been completed.
And King believes 777 are not a good fit for the Toffees, who are currently in real danger of being relegated from the Premier League.
Speaking to Goodison News, King said: “I’m still waiting to see this deal be done, because there is so much talk about it, and nothing is really happening. There is one problem after another.
“When I look at Manchester City, they have got 12 clubs worldwide. From Uruguay to Australia, all through Europe, the Far East, and Africa.
“Is this the way to go? Is this what do to? I think this is the way 777 think it is going to work, because they’ve got clubs in different countries. They are already being found out for foul play in Belgium, they have a transfer embargo on them there.
“It seems to me that this is not the right investment for Everton football club. It’s taken eight months, and they are still no closer to signing a deal than they were at the beginning of the season.”
Everton must stay focused
The Goodison Park outfit have had to be patient with their 777 association in recent months, and that is still the case.
There are perhaps constant updates behind the scenes on Merseyside, but fans of the club are still in the dark about the exact outcome.

For now, all Sean Dyche and his players can do is continue fighting on the pitch, with the Toffees in a very worrying situation in the Premier League table.
