Roy Hodgson to miss Everton v Crystal Palace as Oliver Glasner update emerges at Selhurst Park
Roy Hodgson will not manage Crystal Palace in their upcoming match with Everton, according to The Guardian’s Ed Aarons.
The journalist reported on the publication’s website on Friday (16 February) that assistants Ray Lewington and Paddy McCarthy are likely to prepare the players.
Aarons added that there is a possibility that Oliver Glasner, who is ready to succeed Hodgson, could be appointed before the match, but he is unlikely to take charge for that game.
Good news for Everton?
It is worrying and sad to see Crystal Palace boss Hodgson falling ill, with everyone inside and outside of football wishing him a speedy recovery.
Unfortunately, however, he may have managed his last game for the Eagles, with Glasner looking very likely to replace the legendary manager.
But whether he is confirmed in time for the trip to Everton remains to be seen, while there would also be doubts about his availability to actually manage the team even if he was appointed before the game on Monday (19 February).
Goodison Park plays host to the Premier League encounter, with both clubs desperately in need of a win as they look to push away from the dreaded relegation zone. But it is the Toffees who require the three points more than the Eagles do given their position in the bottom three.

The lack of a manager in the away dugout should, however, be a boost for the hosts, with Palace set to be in disarray amid a managerial change.
