Crystal Palace confirm dugout decision v Everton amid Roy Hodgson update at Selhurst Park
Crystal Palace will be managed by Paddy McCarthy and Ray Lewington for their Premier League clash with Everton, the Eagles have confirmed.
Palace confirmed in a club statement on Monday (19 February) that Roy Hodgson had stepped down from his position as manager, with McCarthy and Lewington set to lead the team for their trip to Goodison Park.
It has been reported by Fabrizio Romano (19 February) that Oliver Glasner will be in attendance on Merseyside on Monday (19 February) evening, having already signed a contract with the Eagles, as he prepares to take his first training session on Tuesday 20 February.
Who will manage Crystal Palace against Everton?
Everton need to get back to winning ways having been disappointing in their last few outings. There are few better opportunities to end a poor run of form than a home clash against a managerless side who have been abysmal in recent weeks.
It has been clear for some time that Hodgson would likely not be the man to lead the Eagles out on Monday night, especially after he was taken ill during training last week, but that disruption could well play into Everton’s favour.

Sean Dyche’s side are coasting towards the relegation zone at the moment and unless they start to turn their results around soon, it may be hard for them to avoid the drop into the Championship, especially as the teams around them continue to pick up points.
Monday night’s clash isn’t quite a must-win game, but it is about as close as it can be to one at this stage of the season. The Toffees could do with three points and a win could pull Palace into the relegation dogfight at the foot of the Premier League table.
