Everton fan leaves Andy Goldstein stunned on talkSPORT with Premier League relegation view
Andy Goldstein shot down a supporter’s suggestion that Everton simply will not be relegated from the Premier League this season.
Everton are outside of the relegation zone by virtue of having a better goals difference than Luton Town, who have a game in hand to play.
A caller on talkSPORT Drive [20 February, 4:26pm] said he cannot see Everton going down, regardless of their current predicament.
In response, host Goldstein replied: “Don’t say that. You’re level with Luton at the moment.”
Everton awaiting Premier League points deduction appeal verdict
Everton have been here before – too many times in recent years, in fact. And just like last season and the season before, they should have enough to get over the line.
“Should” being the operative word there, because on current form you would actually back Luton to stay up at the expense of Everton, who are still awaiting news on the takeover situation.

This is not factoring in the points appeal verdict, which is supposedly due this week, with that of course potentially having a massive say in the matter.
If the Toffees have five or more points restored, for example, then all of a sudden Sean Dyche’s men are looking up the table rather than behind them.
If the 10-point deduction stands, though, then Dyche’s side quite simply need to start getting points on the board or else this season may not have the same happy ending as the past couple of campaigns.
In other Everton news, Darren Bent hit out at the Toffees in a “sick and tired” rant live on air.
