Everton: Pat Nevin rages at ‘beyond stupid’ situation at Goodison Park

Pat Nevin has been left raging at the delay over whether or not Everton have been successful in their appeal against their 10-point deduction.

Writing on the BBC Sport website on Wednesday (21 February), the pundit said the hold-up over the decision by the Premier League is “beyond stupid”.

He urged the league to “get on with it” as he believes the delay is not just “ruining the season” for the Toffees but also everyone else.

“The hold-up in the Premier League’s decision on Everton’s appeal against the 10-point penalty deduction is beyond stupid now,” said Nevin. “Get on with it, you lot. You are ruining the season not just for Everton but for everyone.”

Everton appeal delay is getting ridiculous

The situation regarding Everton’s appeal verdict is getting beyond ridiculous now as the matter has dragged on for the best part of the past three months.

There is no reason why it should take so long to come to a decision as it’s having a direct impact on the Toffees and several other clubs.

While the Blues are the ones who are obviously stressing most of the decision, the sides around them also don’t know exactly where they stand until the matter is resolved.

If they are to get some of the 10 points back, then it’s unknown how many that could be, but any could be vital in their bid to fight off relegation again.

All Sean Dyche and his players can continue to do is focus on matters on the pitch and hope that a decision is made in their favour before too long.

In other Everton news, Alan Stubbs has raged at what has happened to the Toffees as he shared an appeal verdict.
