Sean Dyche stated that the English player had to undergo groin surgery at the end of January, per Goal.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Alli:

He’s undergone another surgery and by the looks of it, it went ahead as per plan.

The one thing we do know is the club and specialists discussed next steps carefully so the hope is the procedure will allow him to return without any further setbacks.

It’s certainly an extremely complicated situation and I don’t see him returning for weeks.

Dele Alli may never play for Everton again

Alli had suffered setbacks in January but it looked like he was on the right track towards making a full return.

However, this surgery has now pushed his return back further with him not expected to be in training for weeks.
