Everton transfer news as ‘Extraordinary’ Mile Svilar update emerges
Everton are eyeing a potential move to sign Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar in the summer transfer window, according to CalcioMercato.
The Italian news outlet reported on its website on Saturday (24 February) that the Toffees are monitoring the Serbian international, who has seen his opportunities limited with the Serie A club.
But it said the Italian side don’t want to let the 24-year-old keeper leave unless they receive an “extraordinary” offer for his services at the end of the season.
Everton unlikely to pay money much for Mile Svilar
This is a transfer that could be unlikely to happen if Roma are looking for any interested parties to pay a reasonable transfer fee for Svilar.
He would only be coming in as a backup option to first-choice keeper Jordan Pickford unless the England international were to make a surprise exit from Goodison Park.
It’s no secret that the Toffees have been on the lookout for a younger stopper to learn from the 29-year-old who could potentially fill his boots, but the Serb is maybe a bit older than they’d be looking for.

He has been restricted to just 11 appearances this season, nine of which came in cup competitions, while he’s featured in Serie A on two occasions.
If he were to become available for a modest fee, then perhaps the Blues could be tempted into making a move for him, but it’s unlikely to happen given their difficult financial situation.
