Everton: Supercomputer makes new Premier League relegation prediction after appeal outcome
Everton have been handed a fresh Premier League relegation prediction by the Opta Supercomputer.
It comes after the Goodison Park club had their 10-point deduction for financial breaches reduced to six points.
The decision, following an appeal from the Toffees, means they now have a 4.4% chance of relegation as opposed to 16.4% [Opta Analyst, 26 February].
Everton to survive Premier League drop after appeal outcome?
There haven’t been many good days to be an Everton supporter in recent years, with the Toffees battling many different issues on and off the pitch over the last couple of seasons.
They have flirted with Premier League relegation far too often for the liking of anyone associated with the club, with that issue arising yet again this time around.
But good news has finally arrived at Goodison Park, with the Merseyside outfit now moving up the standings instead of down.
That rise comes after their points deduction appeal was heard loud and clear, with the club rising from 17th place to 15th place after four of their 10 points were given back.

It is good news for the Toffees, and very bad news for the clubs around them, with the likes of Brentford, Nottingham Forest, Luton Town, Burnley and Sheffield United all set to be furious with the decision.
