Everton: Yet another PSR charge now on cards at Goodison Park
Everton and Nottingham Forest may need to take remedial action to avoid yet another profit and sustainability breach if they stay up this season, according to The Times.
The newspaper shared via their website on 28 February that both clubs could be handed new charges for breaching the rules this season, and may need to sell players to avoid punishment.
It was also noted that one Premier League club chief admitted clubs are now terrified about taking any risks, with the summer transfer window expected to be a quiet one.
Could Everton receive another points deduction?
Yet another charge would, of course, bring up the likelihood of yet another points deduction, with other Premier League clubs scrambling to avoid the same issues the Toffees have faced this season.
This news emerged shortly after Everton’s appeal against their initial ten-point deduction was successful, seeing the penalty reduced to six points, but the club are already facing another charge, along with Forest.
Rumours surrounding the possible outcome of that second charge have been swirling, with one suggestion of an even harsher penalty as a result of the second offence.

If a third charge was to be handed to the club, it could be potentially devastating, particularly if the punishments are consistent with the one given already at Goodison Park.
Whether Everton will fall on the wrong side of the limit again is unclear, and there will be ways around it with the likes of Jarrad Branthwaite linked to big-money exits, but this will cause yet more uncertainty on Merseyside.
In other Everton news, Jeff Stelling had his say on a second points deduction.
