Everton: Dele Alli shares new injury update after return to Finch Farm training
Everton midfielder Dele Alli has shared a new injury update after he returned to Finch Farm after undergoing surgery recently on a new groin injury.
The 27-year-old hasn’t played for the Toffees since Sean Dyche arrived at Goodison Park having spent the second half of the 2022-23 season on loan with Besiktas, before making an early return to Merseyside following an injury.
However, Dele has taken to Instagram to share a new update with his followers on his recovery after Dyche hinted that he could play for the Toffees before the end of the season and the expiry of his contract at Goodison Park.
Posting a video of him working his legs with weights on Instagram on Tuesday (5 March) he captioned the clip: “Little bit of R&R. Little bit of life. A lot of love.”
Will Dele Alli play for Everton before the end of the season?
It has been such a frustrating season for Dele as he seems to have repeatedly come close to making a full comeback from injury before a new issue has arisen that has delayed his comeback for another few months.
While it is irritating for the midfielder and supporters who have been keen to see him back in action, it may have been financially beneficial to the Toffees as it has meant that a clause in his transfer from Tottenham hasn’t been activated.

Hopefully, the England International’s Instagram post is a hint that he is nearly back in action. While Dyche has confirmed that he is a while away from a first-team comeback, it appears that he is heading in the right direction.
Whether or not supporters see him in an Everton shirt remains to be seen, but it certainly seems as though Dele is in a much better place in his life than he was following the end of his spell with Besiktas.
