Everton: Burnley ace Nathan Redmond sends three-word message to Dele Alli on Instagram
Burnley winger Nathan Redmond has sent a three-word message to Dele Alli on Instagram as the Everton midfielder continues to recover from injury.
The 27-year-old has not played a single game for the Toffees since returning from his loan at Besiktas last summer, being plagued by injury setbacks at Goodison Park.
Redmond, who was also at Besiktas before a free transfer to Burnley in July 2023, has sent a message of support to Alli after the Everton man posted photos and videos of his current recovery.
Reacting to the post via Instagram on Wednesday (6 March), Redmond wrote: “Slide 4… Elite.”
Will Dele Alli play for Everton before the end of the season?
While Alli’s career at Goodison Park has been extremely disappointing, as has his career since leaving Tottenham Hotspur, he could still return to Sean Dyche’s side before the season’s end.
The midfielder still has the potential to become a star, currently at the peak of his career, but only if he can stay fit. Dyche can certainly see that which is why the manager is keen to get Alli back in the squad.
With a couple of their current midfielders being linked with summer moves away from Goodison Park, Alli could present as an easy fix ahead of next season.
However, Alli remains a very controversial player at the club, having been pictured with laughing gas canisters in April 2023 amid plans for the UK government to make it illegal. [The Mirror]
But Alli has also had to overcome a lot of adversity. News of his traumatic childhood emerged during an interview with Sky Sports’ The Overlap, having been sexually abused at the age of six before becoming involved with drug dealing at eight years old.

It is clear to see that the player is working hard to return to the sport he loves. However, some fans are happy that Alli has been unable to make any appearances this season, therefore avoiding the triggering of a clause in his contract.
He is now closing in on a return ahead of the end of the season, whether fans want to see this or not. With Everton just five points above the relegation zone, even after a successful appeal against their 10-point deduction, Alli could play a vital role in the season.
In other Everton news, one player has hinted at a possible exit from Goodison Park.
