Andre Gomes misses Everton training as fresh Finch Farm worry emerges for Man United clash
Andre Gomes missed training on Thursday (7 March) as a worry has emerged for the midfielder ahead of the Everton game against Manchester United, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The newspaper reported on its website on Friday (8 March) that the 30-year-old is a doubt heading into the clash against the Red Devils at Old Trafford on Saturday (9 March).
It added that the Portuguese missed training as a precaution after picking up an issue this week, but that staff at Finch Farm are set to assess the midfielder on Friday before making a decision on his availability.
Andre Gomes news concerning for Everton
It will be concerning for Everton that Gomes has picked up another issue after he’s been plagued by injuries already this season.
The midfielder has a long history of injuries, which has seen him spend an awful lot of time on the sidelines for the Toffees, but they will hoping this latest problem isn’t too serious.
After Sean Dyche revealed in his press conference on Thursday that Idrissa Gueye and Dele Alli are the only other players likely to miss the game against Man United, it perhaps isn’t worth risking Gomes.

The Portuguese only returned to the fold in the 3-1 defeat against West Ham on 2 March after missing the previous five games through injury, having only made six appearances this season.
It just feels like he’s never going to catch a break, but hopefully, he will be back in action and be able to help the Blues in their relegation battle before too long.
